So who the am I?
I'm a UX designer with a passion for creating designs that make people smile. With two years of experience in the government sector, I've worked on diverse projects, from improving internal services for frontline staff to designing websites that make users happy. You don’t need to sound overly formal here; just be yourself!
I design empathetic and engaging experiences for users, using empathy and simplicity as my guiding principles. Collaboration with developers, designers, and stakeholders is key in bringing ideas to life. My skills include user research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, usability testing, system design, and workshopping. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication Design from Massey University in New Zealand.
When I'm not designing, you can find me exploring the city with my camera in hand, tending to my plants, or trying out new recipes in the kitchen. I also love playing board games with friends and discovering new cities.
My experience
UX Digital Designer at Accident Compensation Corporation
8/08/2022 to 25/09/2023
As a UX Digital Designer at Accident Compensation Corporation, I designed user experiences for self-service products. Working with a team of designers, we developed customer-centric design solutions based on internal business teams and customer feedback. I turned concepts and research findings into effective solutions and presented them for discussion and feedback. I facilitated workshops with key stakeholders across the business, technology, and customer views.
Service Designer, Ministry of Social Development
01/06/2021 to 29/07/2022
At the Ministry of Social Development, I led the design of two projects and up-skilled other team members to work within a design framework. I ran workshops on the future state of a client management system and created a knowledge base interface. By directing the co-design discovery process, I allowed for iterations and development of wireframes from feedback. I constructed testing plans and templates for other team members to conduct user experience testing for interfaces, information architecture, and content pages, all while completing tasks within an agile framework.
Web Designer, Numeracy 123
02/02/2021 to 24/08/2021
At Numeracy 123, I created a digital learning space for kids to learn numeracy. I worked remotely with a developer and used a design thinking framework to iterate on a minimal viable product. From there, I designed the early stages of wireframes and brought our vision to life!
